Tools to Help Nonprofits Manage Their Grants

If you own a nonprofit you likely are aware of the challenges that come with finding tools and workers with experience in your industry. Not every app is designed for our needs and can be missing essential features you need in order to run your operations as efficiently as possible.

This is where it comes in handy to work with someone experienced in nonprofits because of the knowledge they can bring not just with their work but also their tech support.

As an accountant that primarily serves nonprofits, I know the limitations apps like Quickbooks and Xero have. Beyond bookkeeping, there are other areas that need oversight, like grant management.

Tools to help nonprofits manage their grants can be the greatest time saver to getting the funding you need. From pricing to tailored features, knowing what tools are built for your type of work can make all the difference.

Consider the following list of our favorite Grant Management Apps to help grow your nonprofit business.

Fundly

When you need an app that makes grant management easy, Fundly is exactly that. This app is designed for nonprofits looking to track grant proposals. You can manage multiple grants at once, set deadlines, and even sync the app to integrate with other nonprofit driven applications.

This combination of features makes it ideal for a wide variety of nonprofits!

Pricing

$55 - $550 per month, depending on your plan

Fundly is ideal for small nonprofits due to its easy and simple to use features with little fuss and complicated integrations.

NonprofitPlus

Some grant management systems focus on a CRM, others focus on the financial aspects of grant management. NonprofitPlus focuses more on the financial aspects of your grant management operations. Asking questions like how will this grant affect your budget or expenses?

What is great about this specific application is that many apps put a focus on the CRM and do not always do the best job integration with our accounting tools. Since there is already a financial focus, we have found it to be one of the more bookkeeping-integration friendly apps out there!
